About the artist

King Tiger 332 at The Patton Museum

Since I was a young boy I have always had a passion for stories about World War 2. The first time I saw a photo of a German Tiger tank, I knew I was hooked. I still can't explain it, but the style and look of German armor really grabbed me and has never let go in all these years.

I have been an artist all my life. Attending a professional art school and making a living as a graphic designer and art director for over 30 years. During that time I have been constantly developing my fine art skills of painting and drawing. I have created many paintings of German planes, U-boats and my beloved tanks.

To create better paintings I needed better reference material. So I began building model tanks in 1/35th scale. After the model was built and accurately painted, I would detail them with mud, rust and battle damage and then photograph the models to use as reference for my art.

This website is a culmination of these passions which are expressed through my art.
